EURIE 2017 call for panel proposals cover the following themes:

 • Internationalization strategy and performance (strategic planning for internationalization, monitoring internationalization outcomes, assessing learning outcomes of international programs)
Mobility of students, instructors and researchers (Erasmus +, study abroad programs, international summer schools, joint degree programs, marketing and recruitment of international students)
Regional cooperation and harmonization (regional policy, regional networks, regional mobility)
Changing trends in higher education (quality assurance and rankings, rising costs/fees and access, international research)

New EU Visa Directive for non-EU students
A new EU Visa Directive seeks to increase the attractiveness of EU countries as a study-abroad destination for non-EU students by expanding work and residency options. Non-EU students can work up to 15 hours/ week during their studies and remain for nine months in the EU for work after they complete their studies.
A 10-year strategic plan was released for the expansion of the international education sector of Australia. Some of the measures in the plan include improving student support services and work opportunities for overseas students, enhancing international alumni engagement and developing online programs.


EMUNI University Annual Conference
EMUNI Annual Conference titled “Migration, Diaspora and Brain Circulation” took place in Barcelona in May 2016. The conference addressed the role of diaspora in intercultural dialogue, trust-building and development of cooperation between the European Union, Southern Mediterranean and the Middle East countries.
Civic Engagement Day at The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik 
The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik University in Lebanon hosted an event called “Locally Engaged, Globally Connected” at its campus on May 18, 2016. The event was organized in collaboration with the British Council and various youth NGOs.
